Phyllis C. Chang, M.D. joined the center in the Fall of 1997. She was previously at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston as a Clinical Instructor of Gastroenterology. Dr. Chang graduated in 1996 from Rice University in Houston, with B.A. degrees in Biology and Psychology. She completed her medical degree at Texas A&M University College of Medicine in 1990. She went to complete her postgraduate medical internship, residency and assistant chief residency at the Cornell Teaching Hospital in New York City. In 1996 Dr. Chang completed a three-year fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas/M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She is licensed to practice medicine in Texas and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Chang is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
